Juventus in search of a striker on deadline day: Sorloth, Kolo Muani, Mateta…

The Old Lady turn focus to striker market after victory away at Parma, with both Sorloth and Zirkzee emerging as options

Juventus have intensified their search for a new striker, with the club now actively weighing late attacking additions after their Serie A victory away at Parma and progress on other transfer fronts.

With key defensive and wide reinforcements already secured, attention in Turin has firmly shifted to strengthening the forward line.

According to Sky Sport, the Bianconeri are determined to add a striker before the window closes. The club have already completed the signing of Jeremie Boga and are awaiting the official announcement of Emil Holm, freeing sporting director Giovanni Ottolini to focus on attacking solutions requested by head coach Luciano Spalletti.

Several profiles have been explored in recent weeks. Juventus have assessed options including Jean-Philippe Mateta, Youssef En-Nesyri, Randal Kolo Muani and Mauro Icardi, but none of those avenues have progressed to an advanced stage due to cost, availability or competition from other clubs.

A new name has now emerged. Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Juventus are considering Alexander Sørloth of Atlético Madrid.

The Norwegian forward has scored 10 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions this season and is viewed as a profile capable of offering physical presence and experience at the highest level.

Juventus are said to be evaluating whether a move is feasible in the coming hours, with Ottolini expected to test the conditions of a potential deal as the club looks to respond quickly to Spalletti’s needs.

The other Juventus targets

At the same time, Tuttosport has reported that Juventus have effectively ruled out a deal for Kolo Muani. The French striker, currently on loan at Tottenham Hotspur from Paris Saint-Germain, is no longer considered an attainable target given the complexities involved.

With that option fading, Joshua Zirkzee has moved to the top of Juventus’ shortlist. The Manchester United forward is seen as an appealing solution, with a loan deal regarded as the most realistic pathway should negotiations open.

Juventus are also monitoring the situation of Jhon Durán, the 22-year-old currently on loan at Fenerbahçe, although any move would require coordination between multiple parties.

Another unexpected possibility has also surfaced, with Karim Benzema said to be open to a change after ESPN reported that the veteran felt “disrespected” by Al-Ittihad following their contract extension proposal.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace striker Mateta was reportedly close to joining fellow Serie A powerhouse AC Milan, but have since backed out of a move.
